Hawks vs. Raptors tonight at the ACC. (Game thread) The Hawks have fallen off lately after a torrid start to the season, losing five of their last eight games. Josh Smith is out tonight but so is Jermaine O'Neal. Three of the five positions are very tough matchups for the Raps (Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson and Al Horford). I'm particularly concerned about Horford — who will be tough to contain without JO's presence. Bargnani and Parker need to hit their shats tonight for the Raptors to make this competitive.

Doug Smith reports that the Raptors were confused by the Hawks putting Joe Johnson on Calderon and Mike Bibby on Parker in their previous matchup. Sam Mitchell says, "If they match up that way (today), we've got some plays we can run and hopefully AP (Parker) can take advantage of it." Hopefully, those plays won't come from one of these playbooks.

Speaking of the Knicks, it must be Festivus because Stephon Marbury has commenced the airing of grievances. If you look in the comments of that NY Post story, most Knicks fans appear to be on Starbury's side. See that, LeBron and Chris? Even their fans are a mess. What a franchise!
While we're on the topic of diminutive malcontents, Allen Iverson will be pulled from the starting lineup and fined for missing a practice Thursday morning. Since you're all already making the obvious joke in your heads, I won't bother. I will guess, however, that Joe Dumars doesn't find this moment quite so funny now.
