OK, I'm feeling a little more upbeat today after finding the inspiration to write something a little more compelling with my last post than the usual emo blather I've been spouting around here lately. It wasn't enough that this team has been lousy (again), but they weren't even interesting enough to really write about this season. But hey, onward and upward... or something!

The Raptors play the Heat in Miami tonight. The D-Wades aren't doing so hot themselves lately as they've lost six of their last eight games and have given up over 100 points in six straight games. Of course, it's worth noting that three of those losses were to Boston, Denver and the Lakers so the only bad team they lost to in that stretch was Washington.

The Raptors' injury report for the night includes usual suspect Reggie Evans and Jose Calderon, who (depending on who you believe) is either "day-to-day" or "on indefinite siesta" with a sore hip. The Heat's roster is close to 100 percent healthy going into tonight, with the lone exception being Quentin Richardson's strained hamstring. Word has it that if he passed a physical, he was somehow going to be included in the players the Toronto Blue Jays will recieve for Roy Halladay.

Start time: 7:30pm ET
Channel: TSN
Liveblog: theScore.com with Natasha Alibhai
Probable starting lineups
Toronto: Jarrett Jack, DeMar DeRozan, Hedo Turkoglu, Chris Bosh, Andrea Bargnani
Miami: Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, James Jones, Michael Beasley, Jermaine O'Neal

Five questions

1. If you took away every team's best player, wouldn't the Heat be a bottom-three NBA team?

2. Is it weird that I'm convincing myself to believe in the possible emergence of Marcus Banks as a solid rotation player if Jose Calderon is out for an extended time?

3. Remember all of you who thought my campaign to trade Bosh for a package including Michael Beasley and expiring contracts was a horrible idea? Yeah, well, it's still early but you might have been right. Beasley has regressed from his rookie season and doesn't look like such a hot prospect right now.

4. If Miami Vice (the TV show, not the movie) was still on the air, wouldn't they have to give Heat coach Erik Spoelstra a cameo?

5. How long until Pat Riley makes an appearance on this site?
