I just realized I haven't watched a movie in a long time. My all time favorites are Memento, Boondock Saints, High Fidelity and Unforgiven. Favorite music related films are Westway To The World (Clash Documentary), Under Blackpool Lights (White Stripes), Live In New York City (Springsteen), the 5 song DVD that came with the Band Boxset, and the Last Waltz.

He called me up, and I said, "Sure I'd like a job. What does it mean? What do I do?" And he said, "Well, son, you won't make much money, but you'll get more pussy than Frank Sinatra."

Add Gladiator and Training Day to mine.

As for basketball movies, has anyone else here seen Sunset Park?

Oh, and Swirk, thanks for reminding me of City of God...one of my favorites as well. I liked the directors next movie (Constant Gardener) as well so a bright future beckons for the lad.

I've seen Sunset Park. Its basically your stereotypical sports movie.

Bunch of scrubs on a team, new coach, problems between coach and scrubs, coach wins over scrubs, scrubs go on to beat every team they face to win the championship.

**I'm not even sure thats what happens in the movie, since i haven't seen it in like 4 or 5 years, but i am pretty sure thats the plot.

Yes, it's incredibly average and predictable plotline, but the pre-fame Terrence Howard as the chronic on the team is incredible. Best part of the movie is when he gets in the game and lays out the other teams player.
