What happened to you guys making good game threads?

One thing we've done very well all season is respond to bad losses... so I fully expect a win in O-town.
One thing TJ Ford has done all season is to try and shoot himself out of slumps so I expect we can expect more of the same as in Miami... and the good news is that its pretty tough to be worse than 2 for 13.

i dunno, Orlando is playing for a playoff spot. so it may be tough.
but hey, a win for Orlando ain't all bad. if it knocks out the Knicks, all the better.

We can win.
TJ Ford better pass the ball around. What a shot-chucker.

Apr 4 2007, 03:11 PM
Im hoping TJ doesnt try to prove himself too much. Our offense works when we distribute the ball. When TJ takes too many shots we are bound to have a bad game. Even if he hits a few, the rest of the team is left cold.
But we win. Bosh will be pissed after last night. And Hump will be humping again

Well the good news is that there is no real nightlife in Orlando to speak of so that excuse needs to already be thrown out the door.
Other good news - TJ played a lot last night. Calderon should get more minutes tonight. And I'm hoping Peterson gets mo minutes tonight too.

oh no, I have dentist appointment at the exact same time, It's a good thing though that this game is on the score and that the dentist has a TV that you can watch while he's operating, so at least ill catch some of the 1st Q.
Anyways, I want to see Luke Jackson play, by the way when does his contract expires? is he going to be in the lineups to night?

Introducing the TJ Ford Drinking Game - one shot for every ill-advised shot that goes up...
Miami shot 77% in the 1st quarter last night, and Orlando is over 90% right now... that doesnt really sound like a focused team.

it would be nice if the raps played even a little defence .... nba players are goiogn to stick open looks and orlando is doing just that

good secound quarter for the raptors after that terrible 1 quarter. Calderon is playing great and it was nice to see sam keep him in seeing he was outplaying T.J.

Great comeback in the second quarter. Down 5 by half given how we've played is not bad at all.
Bosh has been a monster with 21 pts. It's like back when Vince played Atlanta and always lit them up. Bosh just loves playing the Magic. Jose Calderon picked it up tonight... nice to see his assists numbers up. Juan Dixon has been on a cold streak ...this is the third game. Hopefully he breaks out of it soon because he's a streaky guy.
Second half ... gotta pick it up on the boards. We're making guys like Battie and Turkoglu look like stars. We have much more depth than they do so we just have to keep up the pressure and Orlando will fold. I just don't see them as the type of resilient team to do what it takes to win this game.

Gameplan for the second half - GET. BALL. TO. CHRIS. BOSH.
Somehow I bet we'll find a way to screw that up... despite second quarter comeback we arent sharp tonight. Rasho is especially get owned by Howard.

Things have turned around here in the 3rd quarter, but the refs are ruining the flow of the game for the players. Let's hope Orlando's timeout doesn't have them recuperating.
Okay, did anyone understand Garbo in that telephone interview?

I'd rather have Darrick Martin on the floor right now than TJ Ford. If Sam doesnt yank him in the next two minutes, I'll join the fire Mitchell camp

The Orlando commentators were just noting that Ford is "not on the same page" as Bosh, and that the Raptors were a far superior team in the second quarter with Calderon in the game.
I was watching the Knicks game a bit at halftime. I was amazed - whereas the Raptors fans get a steady dose of Swirsky corporate speak, Frazier and Trauwig were calling out Isiah for complaining about Marbury not getting calls. They even backed it up with stats.
EDIT: Ford has gone from absolutely terrible to utterly useless while I was posting this. Where the hell is CALDERON???

... possibly his worst game of the season. Glad Bosh is letting him have it for utter selfishness. Bosh missed two shots the whole 1st half and has touched the ball maybe twice in the 3rd quarter... Ford must have shot it at least 10 times.

Maybe, but its not Sam Mitchell throwing the game away right now. Calderon turning it over to Dooling, Bosh not boxing out so Hill gets his own rebound on a missed free throw, and Hump with the bonehead play of the year. As soon as there is a bit of pressure, we can't dribble, inbound, or rebound anymore. Yeah, bring on the playoffs.

No its called stupid players... stupid trigger happy players. You're watching another bunch of them on the other side of the court too... there has been virtually zero teamwork from both teams in the 4th quarter. Bunch of turnovers and free throws.

Bosh hitting these free throws in crunch time is a good example of one of the reasons to like him over Dwight. It's sweet being able to trust Bosh in the crunch (75-80% range FT shooter, vs. the 60% Dwight makes).
HUGE offensive boards!

I can't believe Chuck and Leo are ripping up the Magic team the way they are . About the Jameer Nelson shot, Leo's like "I donn't understand jameer nelson taking that shot. he's 2-8 tongiht". Did they question TJ's quick shot last night when he was 2-11???

Exactly, Leo did not use to be this homerish but Chuck has corrupted him. I think's its in Chuck's contract to hype up everything, Bosh, Bargnani and Ford do and rip every other team. I wonder if other elite team's announcer's like Detroit and Dallas rip our team if we lose to them.
