Just thought I'd start a post on this to see what other members of the board think about this selection from a Raptor perspective now he's on the flight to Bejing.

I tend to fall on the positive side of the equation, with Bosh getting to spend 2 months alongside both the best players in the league and quality coaching, hopefully an Olympic gold medal would also lead to a hugh confidence boost ala Ginobli.

On the negative side, if the US go down it could dent his confidence and given the training camp and games it doesn't look like he'll be getting much rest this off season.

I like Chris, and I'm happy for him personally, but as a Raptors fan I was hoping he wouldn't make the cut. He's been having problems with his knees for the past 2 years. They, and the rest of his body, need the rest.

He wont get big minutes so itll be a good workout barring a major catostrophe

He can barely get through a season now.
