Full Version: Expendible Hump?

hump has played well in limited minutes for us. think he has any value on the open market, as a backup pf?

reason why, is cause we have 4 power forwards now:

bosh
jermaine
andrea
hump

dont give me no center garbage, all these guys are natural power forwards, scoring power forwards at that. and for a team that needs a backup shooting guard (if delf doesn't sign, adams is a end of bench guy not a backup), a backup center, and a backup point guard, it just seems like if hump could net us any one of those three things we should pull the trigger. i would mention joey graham in the same light but i think he's been downgraded to salary filler.

am i off in thinking that hump has trade value? if not, trade ideas..?

I think Hump has more value to the Raptors than he would on the trade market. I can see what you're getting at but I think Hump brings something different than the other three guys and can be a valuable player to have on the bench, depending on the matchup. He also comes at a cheap price, so to try to straight up trade for a SG, isn't going to get you much in return.

I hope Hump doesn't go as at the moment he's my favourite player. I'm a big fan of players who may not be the most skilled but play with heart and hustle to make the most of the opportunities they are given.
