If you could put together a 15-man roster (i.e., 12 active players and 3 guys wearing suits) of the all-time greatest basketball players to have every lived, who would you choose?

For the purposes of this exercise, assume that you get each of these players during their prime. Keep in mind that positions do matter, and the team assembled should actually be able to (theoretically) play together on the floor at the same time.

SG: Michael Jordan / Kobe Bryant

PF: Tim Duncan / Karl Malone
C: Wilt Chamberlain / Shaquille O'Neal / Bill Russel

Don't have the patience to fill out bench spots etc., but my starting five is:

PG: Magic
SG: Jordan
SF: Bird
PF: Duncan
C: Russell

Magic and Jordan are no-brainers. I pick Bird at SF because I want somebody to drain those threes if anybody tries to double Duncan or Jordan. I pick Russell at center because I don't need ANYTHING offensively from that position with the rest of those starters, and he was, is, and may always be the greatest defensive player.

thats an evil line-up... As skilled as some of the player were from past generations, they could never handle the size of a Lebron and Shaq (in his prime)
