Might have to miss this one too. Doesn't look like we have the upper hand with the home advantage since the mavs are 13-6 on the road and we're 12-6 at home. We're going to have to rely on Triano to not close this one out with the Calderjack combo.

If we get either of the next two, I'll be pretty happy.

Hopefully the very early start time will catch the Mavs off guard.

I'll go out on a limb and say Raps by 7.

Welcome back 2006-2007 Jose Calderon

Typical start to the 3rd quarter - no energy, only jump shots... what does Triano say during half time?
PBI
Up 16 after three, got to finish them off.

i think i know what happens in the locker room at halftime...

triano wants to improve our defensive intensity, so he thinks we should follow the example of a good defensive player. so he looks up ron artest's halftime routine, then goes out and buys bottles of hennessy. everyone drinks at halftime, turkoglu drinks a lot. we come out and play bad.
PBI
That crazy desperation three by Bargnani should seal it, up 21 now with 6 minutes left. Nice win.
Mr. Coffee
Unquestionably their best performance of the season.

Lets hope this is a preview for the second half.

Turkoglu playing garbage time... LOL tongue.gif

Turk was still in the game because he had to shoot the three foul shoots the next whistle he came out.

I looked at the box scores and incredible that Jose was a plus 32 as Jack was at 0. I like Jose off the bench he seems to look for his shot more than when he started.

Good game, do we have the confidence rolling into Cleveland to beat them. I think we match up well since they arent a top 3 point shooting team and Shaq and Z are gonna have to guard either Bosh or Bargs.

Handsome_Boy
good win! big +/- numbers from calderon, wright and my boy AMIR. that bargnani three was hilarious, and we certainly finished the game strong.

after games like this, i think we should have a pool to figure out how scott will put a negative spin on the victory. i'm thinking he'll bring up bosh only being +8 instead of +30 and say he clearly should be ditched.

i'm looking forward to at least a good effort against the cavs, and hopefully we can expose their ancient frontline.

Watched most of the first half. Have to say I didn't think we'd pull this one out, even after we shot well in the 2nd after 36% in the first. Nice to see the Raps force garbage time in a game against an elite team.

Also, anyone notice Jose runs a lot more with the second unit than with the first? I have a feeling it's because of the abundance of athleticism in the second unit (Amir, Weems) vs the first unit.

Great game to watch! That 2nd quarter was fantastic: pushing the ball up the court, great ball movement, tons of energy!!! Jose was fantastic in the 2nd & very good for the rest of the game. Where did this energy come from? Was he hurt this entire time? Does coming off the bench excite him that much? Totally different player since he’s been back in the line-up.

Bargs has also turned his game around. The biggest thing with Bargs seems to be his confidence. When he got the ball he knew what he was going to do, didn’t try to force anything & shooting with a purpose.

At the midway point of the season there is still a looooong way to go but you have to really like what the Raps have been able to do the past couple of weeks! (10-3). This can’t be the same team that blow a big lead Vs. Indiana???

i hope this doesn't get interpreted (by triano) as 'jose should start again'. the way he's playing right now, he's exactly what our bench needed.... move him to the starting line-up, and his assets get lost in the need to give bosh, turk, and bargs the ball, and he gets exposed on defense more by the opposing starting pg.

not saying he hasn't been playing well cause he has. ive been a calderon critic for awhile and theres nothing i'd like to see more than him be our x-factor this year. but still, regardless of how well he's playing i still think he should be coming off the bench unless jack is being exposed as a weak link on a consistent basis, which right now isn't really happening. even if he comes off the bench and plays more than half the game. we're just more balanced that way.

"He's way more athletic than I ever was. He's shooting way quicker, he's got a quick first step. He's a tough matchup because he's so quick now off the dribble and he's shooting the ball really well this year."

-- Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki on Andrea Bargnani's progress.

durka durka likes bargs, scott hates him (hahah, i know he doesn't)

Well, well. I thoroughly enjoyed that. rockout2.gif
