Two wins in a row and Atlanta, Houston and Orlando on the schedule. Could an actual winning streak be imminent? eek.gif

Maybe not the Orlando one but I do see us beating the Hawks. T-Macs going to put up huge numbers because its our home game and he loves to kick our ass at the ACC. Winnable game against Houston but the raps have to bring their A-game for sure.
MmK
All are winnable games but all three times, espacially Tmac, will be looking for some revenge

The Knicks and Hawks lost so we're not going to be bottom dwellers any longer!

They probably think you're that kid from the OC.

C'mon win streak... we can beat these guys... their post defence is worse than ours.

I'm prolly going to get bashed again, but from the stuff I hear about Reddick ... shouldn't he be a good fit for the raps? The raps sure could use a good sharp shooter.

And I don't just mean 3s. Somebody witha deadly midrange. Most raps buckets are off drives (I haven't seen the past few games though, stupid SCEast), most shots just doesn't fuckin land, and if the opponents are able to close down the middle, raps are pretty much fukked.

From what I hear gay seems to be phenomenal though, talking about a Duncan caliber player (I know he's SF not PF, but I'm talkin talent/potential/skills wise)

No, actually i agree with you. We should use our top 3 pick on a guy who we could easily get in the second round. We could really use a shorter version of Kyle Korver with worse defence, and not as good looking.
CV31
Listen the raps have enough guys that shoot the three. The raps dont have a guard(mike james maybe) that can create his own shot at will. They need an very athletic SG that can complement mopete and JG defence. Just because a guy can shoot the three still means he gotta get open to hit them
Dre
This has a let-down game written all over it.

And PBI, it's probably the same girl that offered to suck my client at Best Buy the other day, so don't get your hopes up.

I actually think Dee-zy meant to draft Reddick with our second pick. No way does Reddick get drafted in the second round. He's too good of a shooter. Maybe teams will go for him from what they have seen of Korver. Reddick doesnt play defence, thats for sure but if a team has good defensive players already they might just as well gamble there. I hope Reddick doesnt pull a Luke Jackson when he actually gets drafted though.

But im all down for getting Rudy Gay. So what's with the New York pick? Is it lottery protected? What if New York end up getting the first pick? Will Bulls draft Rudy Gay. I dont see why they wouldnt. They only have Luol Deng filling that spot.

From what I heard Reddick is a lottery pick...
shrug.gif

I guess I heard wrong then.

Like I said before, I'm not talking about cats that can hit 3s, I know the raps have alot of that, I'm talking about somebody with a good shot. I thought that reddick was able to create his own shot.

ah well, I don't know anything about NCAA, and from what I see here, I don't seem to know much about NBA either.

Redic shrug.gif k is projected to be 13, and I think I have seen other mocks that had him top 5.

I'm thinking by second round he meant second pick. At this rate, our second first round pick will fall right around 13.

nm, I confused him with Brewer and morrison, they were projected to be high. Not Redick, but Redick would still be a nice add I think.
The Real X Factor
You should be writing in "Who we should draft" and not here. Next Tuesday the Raps will kill on the Hawks and Redick... I could care less.
PBI
pennington, with this year's draft class there is no freaking way that JJ Reddick is a second rounder. It's just an incredibly weak class overall and that will raise the stock of several average players like JJ Reddick, Sheldon Williams and Rudy Gay who aren't capable of making any significant impact in the NBA. I just hope Adam Morrison is there for us because he's still fairly young and has a crap load of potential but I'd pass on Reddick because there is no upside at all.

It's true, they traded away an unprotected pick for Eddy Curry (I think). Oh the Knicks.

Yep, im assuming so. Therefore, if the Knicks tank the season and end up getting a first or second pick, Bulls are selecting Gay or Morrison for sure as all they have is Luol Deng. I dont see the hawks picking Gay or Morrison though. IF we end up top 3, we have a shot at 1 or the other fo sheezy my neezy.

Hawks are trying to take over the NBA by building a team of Small Forwards!

In the past couple of days, people have been saying trade Mike James while he is playing good.

Is there anyway we can trade James to the Grizzles? Damon Stodamire is injured (probably out for the season), and since James is playing great as a point on this team, we may be able to fool the Griz into trading for him.

Memphis Grizzles guards are :
Shane Battier (G/F), Mike Miller (G), Eddie Jones (G/F), Antonio Burks (G), Dahntay Jones (G), Bobby Jackson (PG), Anthony Robinson (G, but rookie)

Eddie Jones is a veteran (no way in hell should we go after him), but can we somehow steal Shane Battier off their bench?

We can give up Mike James and Loren Woods for Shane Battier and something else...

I know this is wishful thinking, and it probably won't happen, but SHane Battier is only a 4 year pro, and he still has potential. To bad they got a smart GM unlike ours
LittleStone
How did the game thread become pick thread and trade thread? We might as well fire or trade everyone in Raptors and lose the game by default.

We are becoming RealGM.

what's wrong with eddie jones? ....uhhh 5 years or more past his best playing days.....
Nat
i just got back from a week vacation and watched the last 3 games in the game in an hour format... i liked what i see in the last few games.. we have been able to close out strong and i really think we can have a winning january as a lot of the games are against sub .500 teams. Lets begin with winnin this hawks game then we can say for sure we have won an entire series against one team even tho its the hawks
Soulless
There shouldn't be more than a 3 day gap between games. I want to see the raptors play some ball.

That's because his minutes are greatly diminished. He still registers many many 20 point games, still pretty serviceable for a vet I think.
