The saga continues...
I think there should be a day where we pay homage to the state of Louisiana by eating large amounts of Popeyes. Not just the chicken, fries, and biscuits. I'm taking about the mashed potatoes, the cajun rice, the popcorn shrimp, all of that.
Snoogans
Sep 3 2005, 02:25 PM
Everytime I see the word "biscuits" now I always think of Lethal Weapon 4 and Mel and Danny making fun of Chris Rock. That was an alright series, action movies today just seem to rely a little to much on CGI even for some scenes they used set up other ways in the past...sigh.....*heads out to find popcorn shrimp*

guess who's back in the hizzel?
so much randomness, i don't even know where to start.
- school starts on thurs for me, not sure if i'm excited now that it's so close
- the start of september has been warmer than the last 2 weeks of august
- eMule is the best thing to download old school albums ever
- i need to get some new pants, i've only got one pair of jeans left
- gj needs to wear some smaller tees
- i sweated so bad when i was playing ball the other day, it looked like i pissed my ass
- upgrade your grey matter, because one day it may matter
- one of my classes is "philosophy of sport"
- my little brother is starting high school today
- i need to get some new pairs of socks, mine are so thin and worn out
- at work the other day, some customer took a dump on the floor in front of the bakery, and then other people started running it over with their shopping carts
Snoogans
Sep 6 2005, 03:23 PM
^ that is some effective randomness
and a little disturbing (ie the dump in front in front of the bakery)
I had a friend accussed of simular actions in an IGA
School starts for me tomorrow and I am freaked out because i skipped out on orientation because my grandfather was in the local hospital for 2 days for some tests and treatment so i spent the time visiting with my grandparents because i hardly see them.
I really miss jomaas donair pizza.....

Agree 100%...I use to walk to school (1 hour + 15 mins each way) so I could save the 35 cent bus fair. Thats 70 cents a day...$3.50 a week. That would get me one jug of beer at the pub.

motorola v635i. 512mb card. $199.99 on a 3 year contract.
now, i know full well that there's a store down the mall which has the same phone, with the same service/contract for $149.99 (buy two and get a free portable dvd player). there's another which has it for $199.99 with a free carrying case and car charger.
immoral to sell at $199.99? or should people learn to shop around?

Speaking techie, i'm seriously digging the new iPod (not the Motorola phone), the nano! Dayum that thing looks so sexy that thin. Uses flash cards instead of hard drives so you can throw that thing on a lanyard and jog... interesting they kept all the best features of the original iPod too... the circular dial, image viewing, etc. Debating over nano vs. an md player from Sony now.

Not really... if you kinda overhype the memory card on that, there's bound to be a tween-ager looking for a deal.. sell it as more of an mp3 player that way and look to sell it fast. There's a storm coming with the new wave of mp3 phones now considering how fast Apple sets pop culture trends with their new Motorola phone.

I had a version that was better quality, 700MB downloaded in about 1 hour. The game was horrible, not worth watching. Four 10 minute quarters and they kept the clock running even during substitutions. Watch the highlights on NBA.com, cuz that's all you'll be thankful for. The rest of the game was a joke, but it was for a good cause.

A guy from our church, Suresh Joachim, is in NYC this week, attempting his 32nd Guinness world record -- a TV-watching marathon. They kicked it off on the Live with Regis and Kelly show on Tuesday morning. Between noon and 1pm EST today, he passed the current record of 50 hours and 7 minutes, and now he is going to try and hold on so he can end it tomorrow on the show. He's in a booth in their studio lobby right now and there's a live webcam:

He told us before he left that this probably wasn't going to be the hardest one, either. He's pretty gifted to be able to battle against fatigue and mental breakdown. Personally, I think one of the hardest ones he's done is standing on one foot - the same foot! - for 75 hours or something close to that number.
